GO 4 Despatch has been trading since 1991 starting with a Ford Transit van after securing a contract with a newspaper wholesaler distributing for the News International Group.

Some of the papers we delivered included The Sun and News of the World, this was carried out seven days a week with the only day off being Christmas Day, this we did for two years while securing additional work with many local companies from various different backgrounds, these included engineering companies of various sorts, printing companies and plastic companies that included delivering finished plastic products.

As we progressed we purchased a larger vehicle this being a 7.5 tonne vehicle as customer demand asked us for this, we therefore had to take various professional exams to be eligible to operate this type of vehicle, we then stopped doing the newspaper deliveries and concentrated on general haulage but on a larger scale as carrying capabilities increased and sometimes early deliveries were requested by our growing customer basis, as we feel the customer is so important to us we do this to ensure an excellent customer relationship.

This was carried out for approximately three years when we increased our fleet again with the purchase of another larger vehicle, this being a twelve tonne rigid vehicle with a payload that doubled our existing vehicle making us more adaptable with our existing customers while adding new customers to our increasing customer portfolio, we feel you have to be adaptable at all times towards your customers and try to help them as both companies grow, therefore helping each other to the best of our abilities.

We also at this time decided to get what was our largest vehicle and bought an articulated vehicle as many customers new and old where leaning towards this type of vehicle, this was what GO 4 as a company was looking to go to.
